About Simply Baby Online

Simply Baby Online was a wonderful idea created by my husband, George. He has always had a strong entrepreneurial mind and realized that there was a great opportunity to sell products online. We shop so much online due to our busy schedules, which of course got a lot busier when we found out that we were having a baby. We had always talked about what we would do if we had children; we both decided, if it was possible, that I would stay home so I could raise our children. Now we have combined my husband's entrepreneurial spirit with my desire to stay home with our daughter and created a home-based business selling the ever necessary baby products.

Just prior to this, I started creating baby gifts for friends featuring simple everyday baby products with clean lines, bundled together with a large pastel ribbon. Each gift was well received, so I continued to give what later became BabyCake Ribbon Sets at baby showers and later added custom designed BabyCake Gift Baskets featuring the same simple baby products in pastel shades. Soon friends started asking me to make gifts for them that they could give to their family and friends.

Simply Baby Online started as an offline venture, with my husband and I spreading the word through friends and colleagues. Producing the BabyCake Gift Baskets and Ribbon Sets led to one referral and then another. I also started getting calls from customers who wanted to order extra bibs or onesies in addition to what came in their gift sets. That's when we decided to take our business online to make our products widely available and make it easier for returning customers to re-order.
